Holy Trinity Church

Holy Trinity Church is a Serbian Orthodox house of worship featuring eclectic architectural style that blends various design traditions. The structure is marked by a distinctive central dome and decorative elements across its exterior walls.

Construction started in 1860 under Prince Milos Obrenovic and was finished by his son Prince Mihailo in 1862. The church was built during a period when this family held significant influence over Serbian affairs.

The church preserves fragments of the historic Takovo oak tree, connecting the place to important events in the region's past. These remnants carry meaning for those who understand the local story.

A tomb of the Obrenovic family stands at the church gate and holds the remains of Duke Milan Obrenovic, brought here from Romania in 1995. Visitors should dress respectfully and behave quietly when entering this religious space.

Medieval Serbian coins from Emperor Dusan's time in the 1300s were discovered during renovation work at the site. These findings suggest deeper historical connections between the place and the region than the building itself immediately reveals.
