Yemelyanovsky District is a municipal district in the southern central part of Krasnoyarsk Krai and covers a vast territory with diverse geographic features. The area is crossed by major transport routes, including the Trans-Siberian Railway and the M53 federal highway, connecting different parts of the region.
The district was established in 1936 as an administrative unit and underwent significant development during the Soviet era. Its administrative center, Yemelyanovo, was founded much earlier in 1700 and has served as the district's main hub since its creation.
The territory contains fourteen selsoviets, including Garevsky, Zeledeyevsky, and Mininsky, representing different local administrative and community structures within the district.
