Badayev warehouses
The Badayev warehouses were large storage facilities in the Admiralty District of Saint Petersburg that held food supplies and military materials. These substantial buildings no longer exist, having been completely destroyed.
The warehouses were built in the second half of the 1800s as storage facilities for the city. During the Siege of Leningrad in World War II, they became a focal point in efforts to feed the population through a devastating blockade.
The site is not accessible today as only empty land remains where the buildings once stood. Visitors can view the location from nearby streets and learn about its history through local museums and historical records.
