The park features numerous granite formations rising from dense forests, with two distinct zones covering 47,219 hectares of natural territory.
Russian explorers Daniel Gottlieb Messerschmidt and Vitus Bering conducted initial surveys of the area during their 18th-century Siberian expeditions.
Local mountaineers developed specific climbing techniques on these rock formations, establishing a regional climbing tradition that continues today.
The park maintains marked hiking trails connecting major rock formations, with regular bus services operating from Krasnoyarsk city center.
The protected area contains 740 vascular plant species and houses rare Siberian wildlife, including musk deer and golden eagles.
