Храм Великой Победы, Buddhist temple in Bolshoy Tsaryn, Russia
The Victory Temple is a Buddhist prayer building in Bolshoy Tsaryn that rises 18 meters high and contains a main prayer hall with an altar. The interior spaces feature carefully arranged religious artworks and sacred objects throughout the building.
Construction started in 2000 following architect Y.I. Sangadzhiev's design and was completed in 2002 with help from the local Buddhist community. The project grew from the community's desire to build a place for their spiritual practice.
Inside you can see statues of Buddha Shakyamuni and the Medicine Buddha representing Tibetan Buddhist traditions. The religious texts and artworks displayed show how the local community lives out its spiritual beliefs.
This functions as an active Buddhist center where prayer services take place regularly and visitors are welcomed. It helps to check visiting hours in advance to ensure you arrive during times when the site is open to guests.
Two renowned sculptors, Vladimir Vaskin and Nikolai Galushkin, brought their artistic skill to create the temple's decorative elements and statues. Their craftsmanship gives the building a special visual quality that visitors often notice.
