Воскресенско-Мироносицкий женский монастырь, Orthodox monastery in Zubovka, Russia.
The Resurrection and Myrrh-bearing Women's Monastery is a religious complex in rural Zubovka with several stone buildings enclosed by a protective wall. The compound contains churches, residential quarters, and utility buildings arranged to serve the community that once lived there.
The monastery was established in 1910 to house around 300 women in religious community. It ceased operations after the 1917 revolution and remained closed until much later in the 20th century.
The monastery was founded to honor women devoted to religious life and prayer within its walls. Visitors can sense their presence through the preserved buildings and the gardens they once tended.
The site is located in Zubovka village and can be reached via Komsomolskaya Street in the region. Visitors should arrange their visit in advance as access is limited and regular opening hours may not always be guaranteed.
The monastery houses a venerated icon of the Mother of God known as the 'Unbreakable Wall,' which was blessed by holy visitors during the early 20th century. This sacred image was returned to the site in 2016 after being separated for decades during Soviet rule.
