The Anglo-Russian Hospital operated from the Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace, providing medical care to soldiers and civilians during World War I.
The medical center opened on February 1, 1916, under Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna and served over 6,000 patients before closing in January 1918.

Prince Felix Yusupov received treatment at this hospital for a fish bone removal shortly after his involvement in Rasputin's assassination.
