Sts. Constantine and Helen Church, Novocherkassk, Orthodox temple in Novocherkassk, Russia
Sts. Constantine and Helen Church is an Orthodox temple located at Sennaya Square and displays architectural features of the retrospectivism style. Inside, three separate altars serve different liturgical functions: the central altar for the Holy Spirit, the left altar for Saints Constantine and Helen, and the right altar for Saint Nicholas.
A wooden chapel previously stood on this site until the stone church was built in 1864. The structure underwent major reconstruction in 1906 in the retrospectivism style and reopened during the 1970s after a period of closure.
Two professional church choirs perform during services, enriching the spiritual experience for those who visit. Educational programs operate through a Sunday school and art studio, serving the local community.
The church holds regular Orthodox services when visitors are welcome to attend and observe. Checking service times in advance and wearing modest clothing are good practices to respect the sacred nature of the space.
The church received official regional cultural heritage status through a resolution in 1992, marking its importance for preservation. This recognition protects the building and acknowledges its role in the area's history.
