Мавританский дом

The Moorish House is a residential mansion in central Krasnodar with two domed towers and green-tiled facades. It contains nine apartments and features decorative columns framing the entrance on Pushkin Street.

Architect Ivan Rymarevich-Altmansky designed and built this house between 1910 and 1912. It rose during a period when Russian cities embraced exotic architectural styles imported from distant regions.

The building combines Moorish style with Russian interpretations of oriental ornaments and designs. The green tiles and curved forms show how early 20th-century architects were inspired by distant cultures.

The house sits on Pushkin Street in the city center and is easily visible from the road. Since it functions as a residential building with multiple owners, visitors can view it from the outside, but access to the interior is limited.

A Manchurian ash tree more than a century old grows beside the mansion and speaks to the site's long history. A deteriorated fountain in the courtyard recalls the property's original landscaping.
