Örgryte Old Church

The stone structure features Romanesque architecture with a square form, incorporating defensive elements within its traditional ecclesiastical design at Danska vägen 1.

Originally constructed in the mid-13th century, the church underwent significant renovations between 1730 and 1735, replacing its medieval choir section with updated architectural elements.

The interior ceiling displays painted frescoes from 1741, representing religious artistry and demonstrating the Swedish church decoration traditions of the eighteenth century.

The church maintains regular opening hours for visitors and worshippers, offering services while functioning as an active religious center near Liseberg and Gothia Towers.
