The property transformed from an agricultural site to a sports venue in 1887 when Wilhelm Friberg established facilities that led to Örgryte Idrotts Sällskap sports club.

The estate's land was purchased by Gothenburg city for 225,000 kronor, becoming the foundation for the development of Liseberg amusement park in 1923.
