Spökhotellet Gasten functions as an indoor walk-through attraction where visitors encounter performers who act as ghosts throughout the decorated hotel corridors.
The haunted hotel attraction opened in April 1998 as part of the new Harbor Area development on the opposite side of Mölndalsån river.
The name Gasten carries dual meaning in Swedish, referring to both a supernatural being and a maritime term related to seafaring.
The attraction requires three ride coupons, accepts visitors aged nine and above, and operates from 14:00 to 20:00 or 22:00 depending on park hours.
In 2017, the attraction received a spider-themed renovation where giant arachnids invaded the hotel structure, adding new elements to the experience.
