Lisebergsloopen, Steel roller coaster in Gothenburg, Sweden
Lisebergsloopen was a steel roller coaster at Liseberg amusement park featuring a single loop at the center of its track. The ride operated three trains, each carrying eight rows of four passengers per circuit.
The roller coaster was built between 1979 and 1980 and was the fourth installation of this design type worldwide. It operated from 1980 until 1995, shaping the park's history during those 15 years.
This roller coaster served as a centerpiece attraction at Liseberg park for 15 years, attracting 14.3 million visitors during its operational period from 1980 to 1995.
The ride was short and intense with high speed and sharp turns. Visitors should keep in mind that the experience ends quickly and good weather enhances the overall experience.
Throughout its operational lifetime at Liseberg, the roller coaster completed 658,100 circuits, covering a total distance equivalent to reaching the moon.
