Helsingborg new water tower

The Filborna Water Tower features a circular tank with a 90-meter diameter, supported by 24 concrete pillars reaching 27 meters in height.

Construction of the water tower began in 2018 with NCC and NSVA collaboration, replacing the previous 1962 Fredriksdal tower while maintaining both operational.

The structure received the Kasper Salin Prize in 2021 from Sveriges Arkitekter for its architectural merit and contribution to public spaces.

The tower stores seven thousand tons of water and incorporates a circulation system that maintains clean drinking water for northwest Skåne residents.

The 24 supporting pillars function as a giant sundial, while the internal space serves as an arena for dance performances and theatrical shows.
