Helsingborg Arena, Entertainment center in Helsingborg, Sweden.
Helsingborg Arena is an entertainment centre and arena in Helsingborg, Sweden, made up of three halls of different sizes built for sports events and concerts. The largest hall is the centrepiece of the complex and can hold several thousand spectators.
The arena was built with support from the Henry and Gerda Dunker Foundation and opened in November 2012. It was created in response to the city's growing need for a modern venue for both sport and live events.
The Helsingborg Arena is the home venue for the handball club OV Helsingborg HK and the floorball team FC Helsingborg, giving it a steady place in the city's sports life. On match days the stands fill with local fans, and the energy is noticeably different from a regular event space.
The complex is laid out in a way that is easy to follow, and the three halls are straightforward to find without needing to search. Arriving a little early is a good idea, as the entrances can get crowded before large events.
The ceiling of the main hall rises to about 15 meters (50 ft), which allows the floor space to be arranged in very different ways depending on the event. This means the same room can shift from a concert setup to a sports layout within just a few hours.
