Wat Bueng, Buddhist temple in Nai Mueang, Thailand.
Wat Bueng features traditional Thai religious architecture with an ordination hall, sermon hall, multi-purpose pavilion, prayer hall with bell tower, eight monk dormitories, large vihara, and white stone pagoda spread across 31 rai of temple grounds.
Established around 1782 during the early Rattanakosin period, Wat Bueng received its first royal consecration of the sacred boundary in 1787 and underwent a second consecration in 1997 following construction of a new ordination hall.
The temple houses the principal Buddha image titled Luang Pho Kasorn and serves as a community center hosting religious ceremonies, festivals, and educational activities while maintaining its role as a spiritual focal point for local devotees.
Located at Ban Bueng Nuea, Wang Daeng Subdistrict, Tha Rua District in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, the temple operates a primary school and provides facilities including parking areas for visitors exploring the religious complex.
The temple derives its name from a large pond formed by the Pa Sak River overflow, which historically influenced the local settlement name Ban Bueng and continues to serve as a water resource for the surrounding agricultural community.
