Bergama Acropolis Gondola

The Bergama Acropolis Gondola stretches across 694 meters, connecting the city center to the archaeological site through fifteen eight-passenger cabins.

The aerial lift system, constructed by Leitner Ropeways and inaugurated on October 8, 2010, replaced a time-consuming bus route to the ancient Acropolis.

The gondola system provides access to the Acropolis of Pergamon, where visitors can explore ancient temples, theaters, and architectural structures from Hellenistic times.

The four-minute journey elevates passengers from 90 meters to 330 meters above sea level, with a capacity to transport 1,200 people per hour.

The project, financed through a build-operate-transfer model, cost approximately 6 million euros and transported over 30,388 people in its first partial year.
