Qidu District

Qidu District is an administrative division in Keelung located in northeastern Taiwan, encompassing several distinct villages spread across the region. The area features mountainous terrain with streams and waterfalls that shape its landscape.

The area was originally known as Shichitoku during Japanese rule and underwent development under that administration. After World War II, it became reorganized into the administrative district it is today.

The villages here maintain distinct identities through their local temples and community gatherings that shape everyday life. These places serve as gathering points where residents regularly connect and carry on their traditions.

The area is well connected through railway stations like Qidu and Baifu, making it easy to reach other parts of the region. Visitors should know that the mountainous terrain can be challenging when exploring on foot.

Tai-an Falls and Yo-Ruai Stream offer natural spots for recreation and hiking within the mountainous landscape. These water features are surprisingly accessible to visitors despite the remote location.
