Hongye Bridge

Hongye Bridge is a steel structure that crosses a river in Taitung County, connecting villages in Taiwan's eastern coastal region. The structure creates a reliable transportation link for people and vehicles between different riverside communities.

The bridge opened in 2000 and greatly improved transportation for coastal residents. With its completion, an important connection was created for a region that had been harder to reach before.

The bridge is easily reached via National Highway 5 and then along Provincial Highways 9 and 11 following the coastline. The best time to visit is during the dry season, when conditions are most pleasant.

Near the bridge sits a recreation and nature area with distinctive rock formations that rise from the sea. The region is known for its diverse coastal plant life and serves as an important stop for migrating birds.
