Chu Lu Ranch, Agricultural complex in Beinan, Taiwan
Chu Lu Ranch is a dairy farm in Beinan Township, Taitung County, Taiwan, set on hilly land with slopes that rise steadily across the property. It covers areas for housing livestock, producing milk, and processing dairy goods on site.
The ranch was founded in 1973 as a dairy production site in the Taitung region of eastern Taiwan. Over the following decades, it gradually broadened its activities beyond milk farming alone.
Chu Lu Ranch gives visitors a direct look at how livestock farming works in the hilly landscape of Taitung today. Walking through the property, you can watch animals grazing and see how daily farm work is carried out in a rural setting.
The terrain is hilly throughout the property, so sturdy footwear and a reasonable level of fitness will make the visit more comfortable. The ranch can be reached by train to Shanli Station or by car along Provincial Highway 9.
The ranch has developed a line of skin care products made with dairy ingredients, which is an unexpected sideline for a working farm. These products are sold on site and can be picked up during a visit.
