Олександро-Невський собор

The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is an Orthodox church in Melitopol featuring sturdy stone walls and detailed architectural elements. It displays wooden domes, a bell tower with Doric columns, and arched windows that allow light to flow through the interior space.

Construction of this cathedral began in 1861 with support from local resident N. Krotky, and two side chapels were added afterward. During World War II, German authorities permitted Orthodox services to resume in a former Armenian church building that became this cathedral.
