Novooleksandrivskyi Park

Novooleksandrivskyi Park is a public park in Melitopol featuring diverse tree species such as oak and Japanese pagoda trees spread across its large grounds. The space includes maintained pathways and open lawns where visitors can walk and spend time surrounded by vegetation.

The park was designed and established in 1927 by chief forester Ivan Alekseev on empty land beyond Mezhevaya Street. The area was developed further in subsequent years with new amenities that made it a popular leisure destination.

The park has wooden sculptures of fairy tale characters created by local craftsmen that form an outdoor art gallery in the central area. These works attract families and visitors who enjoy discovering the different figures throughout their walk.

The park is easily accessible on foot and has several entrances that make visiting convenient for travelers. It is advisable to wear sturdy shoes as pathways can become slippery during rain, and visiting during warmer days provides the best experience.

The park once featured a parachute tower and summer stage that gave it distinctive appeal as an amusement destination. These historical structures demonstrate how it served as a central hub for recreation across different eras.
