The Hub, Church building at Royal Mile, Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Hub is a church building located on Edinburgh's Royal Mile, featuring Gothic Revival architecture that stands out in the historic street. The structure contains a main hall for large gatherings, along with additional spaces designed for smaller events and meetings.

Built between 1842 and 1845, the structure originally served as a meeting place for the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland until 1929. Following that period, its purpose shifted as it took on new roles within the city's cultural life.

The building now serves as the main hub for the Edinburgh International Festival, where visitors can purchase tickets and experience performances throughout the year. It has become a central meeting point for the city's cultural life and creative community.

Access to the building is straightforward since it sits on the Royal Mile, one of the main streets through Edinburgh's Old Town. Keep in mind that certain spaces may be closed at specific times depending on what events are taking place.

The building was designed by renowned architects J Gillespie Graham and Augustus Pugin, who were pioneers of Gothic Revival architecture in Britain. Inside, the Victoria Hall is divided across two levels, creating separate areas for different types of gatherings and discussions.
