Klondike Gold Mine, Steel roller coaster at Funland, United Kingdom.
Klondike Gold Mine is a steel roller coaster at Funland featuring a red track supported by white columns. The ride uses mine cart-styled vehicles arranged in a chain formation and incorporates a vertical loop into its course.
The ride was originally built in 1984 at Drayton Manor Theme Park under the name Python Looping Coaster. It later relocated to Funland, where it operated from 2005 until 2015.
The mine cart design and gold rush theme connected visitors to the historical mining heritage of North America during its time at Funland.
Each train carries twelve riders seated in two rows across three separate vehicles. Visitors should expect a smaller capacity experience compared to typical modern roller coasters at larger parks.
After leaving Funland, this particular Pinfari model became a traveling ride and was notably the only mobile looping roller coaster operating throughout the United States. It represented a rare example of a fully portable steel coaster with vertical loop capability.
