Meall Greigh, Mountain summit in Ben Lawers range, Scotland

Meall Greigh is a mountain peak in the Ben Lawers range in the Scottish Highlands, standing at around 1000 meters. It has grass-covered slopes and connects to a neighboring peak via a broad ridge.

The peak was included in Hugh Munro's 1891 list of Scottish mountains above a certain height, which established it as a significant climbing destination. This classification drew mountaineers to the Ben Lawers range from across Scotland and beyond.

The slopes were used by local shepherds for summer grazing, shaping the open grassland character you see today. This pastoral tradition remains visible in how the mountain landscape is managed and looks.

Access to the mountain is from the village of Lawers, where parking is available. Good hiking boots and weatherproof clothing are needed, as conditions can change quickly on the exposed slopes.

From its northeast position, the mountain offers unobstructed views across Loch Tay and the Highland landscape beyond. This vantage point makes it a rewarding spot for photographers wanting to capture the expansive lake and mountain formations.
