Cresswell Castle, Medieval castle complex in Pembrokeshire, Wales
The castle comprises three buildings arranged around a rectangular courtyard with circular towers at each corner of the surrounding wall.
Built in the 13th century by the Augustinian Priory of Haverfordwest, the castle underwent substantial modifications during the 16th and 17th centuries.
The Barlow family transformed the defensive structure into a manor house, adding stables, gardens, and fishponds to reflect their social status.
Located half a mile north of Cresswell Quay, the castle site can be accessed via Millway Lane, branching from the A4075 road.
One of the circular towers served as a dovecote, demonstrating the transition from military fortification to domestic residence.
