Fletcher Moss Botanical Garden, Municipal botanical garden in Didsbury, England.
The garden extends across 90 acres with rock formations, ornamental trees, ponds, and diverse plant collections arranged on a south-facing slope.
Alderman Fletcher Moss donated the land to Manchester in 1915, transforming his private estate into a public botanical garden that opened in 1919.
Emily Williamson established the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds at The Croft residence in 1889, leading a movement against bird feather fashion.
The gardens maintain extensive collections of alpine plants, roses, exotic trees, including Bhutan pine species and numerous flower varieties throughout the seasons.
The entrance features a neo-Norman stone arch gate with an eagle sculpture, relocated from the former Spread Eagle Hotel owned by Fletcher Moss.
