Glasgow Golf Club

Glasgow Golf Club operates two courses for members and visiting players: Killermont in Bearsden runs about 5,977 yards along the River Kelvin with varied terrain and water hazards throughout, while Gailes Links near Irvine is available by appointment. Both courses offer different settings and challenges for golfers of various skill levels.

The club was established in 1787 as the first golf club in western Scotland and moved through several locations over the decades. It found its permanent home at Killermont House in 1904.

The club has long been a hub for golfers who gather to play and compete in tournaments together. This shared passion shapes how members interact with the space and with each other throughout the year.

The Killermont course is primarily for members, while the Gailes Links welcomes visiting players who arrange a visit in advance. Getting in touch before arriving helps you understand what to expect and what you may need to bring.

The Georgian Killermont House, built in 1805, serves as the clubhouse today. This stately building was originally designed as a private residence and brings a sense of historical depth to the golf experience.
