Ironmonger Row Baths, Public bathhouse in London Borough of Islington, England
The facility features a 100-foot swimming pool, Turkish baths with three temperature-controlled rooms, marble massage slabs, and a contemporary fitness center.
Architect Alfred Cross designed the first phase of Ironmonger Row Baths in 1931, with the swimming pools and Turkish baths addition completed by Kenneth Cross in 1938.
The baths provided essential bathing services during a period when only four percent of Finsbury households had private bathing facilities at home.
The facility operates swimming classes, hosts the Tom Daley Diving Academy, and maintains separate areas for spa treatments and fitness training.
The basement contains Victorian-style Turkish baths with original marble surfaces, modern steam rooms, and an icy plunge pool for thermal experiences.
