Victoria Miro Gallery, Contemporary art gallery in Islington, England.
Victoria Miro Gallery is a contemporary art venue in Islington housed in a converted Victorian factory building. The space spans multiple floors with generous galleries designed to display international artwork.
The gallery started in 1985 on Cork Street in Mayfair before moving to its present location. In 2000 it relocated to the Wharf Road building in Islington where it operates today.
The gallery shapes London's art world by showing work from artists around the globe and hosting exhibitions that examine contemporary issues. Visitors encounter pieces that push artistic boundaries and provoke thoughtful responses.
Entry is free and the building is easy to navigate with clear signage throughout. Visitors should plan time to explore the different levels and spend time with the works on display.
The operation runs additional exhibition spaces in Venice including a historic palazzo in the San Marco district. This international presence demonstrates the gallery's role in the broader art world.
