Lunt Roman Fort, Military museum and reconstructed Roman fort in Baginton, United Kingdom
The fort stands on a high plateau near the River Sowe, featuring reconstructed wooden gates, ramparts, and garrison buildings based on archaeological findings.
Built in 60 AD following the Iceni rebellion, the fort served as a supply depot and headquarters for Roman legions during their campaign against Boudica.
The exhibition in the granary building presents artifacts, military equipment, and information about the daily activities of Roman soldiers stationed at this outpost.
The facility opens exclusively during school holidays from Monday to Friday, with general admission fees of £4.63 for adults and reduced rates for children.
The fort contains the only known circular horse training arena, called gyrus, measuring 32 meters in diameter within the entire Roman Empire.
