Holy Trinity Church, Gothic Revival church in Southport, England
Holy Trinity Church is a Gothic Revival building from the early 20th century with red brick walls and a tower decorated with carved stone details. The interior features Runcorn stone columns, pitch pine ceiling timbers, and numerous stained glass windows that fill the space with colored light.
A chapel was first built in 1836, but the current structure was constructed starting in 1903 and consecrated in 1912. The rebuilding responded to the need for a larger place of worship as the local community grew.
The name reflects the Christian Trinity and shapes the religious life of the parish community. Visitors notice an active place of worship where people gather regularly, especially visible through the care taken with the stained glass and interior spaces.
The church is open for regular services throughout the week and on Sundays at different times. Visitors should check opening times in advance and plan their visit around the service schedule.
The interior fittings were handcrafted by the Bromsgrove Guild, a workshop renowned for quality artisanal work. Two choirs perform regularly here, keeping a musical tradition alive within the building.
