The Grove tube station, Unfinished underground station in London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, England
The Grove is an unfinished underground station planned for the intersection of Hammersmith Grove and Goldhawk Road in west London. The design included two platforms to serve the expanding residential area nearby.
The Central London Railway received permission to build the station in 1913 as part of an extension from Shepherd's Bush toward Gunnersbury. Construction never began due to disruptions from World War I.
The station's location in Shepherd's Bush reflects the early 20th century expansion of London's transportation network to accommodate growing residential areas.
The location lies between Paddenswick Road and Shepherd's Bush, where a subway connection was meant to take shape. Today it remains a gap in the historical record of the underground network.
Despite receiving multiple parliamentary approvals and revised plans between 1913 and 1920, the station remained unconstructed due to World War I interruptions.
