Noble County, County seat in southeastern Ohio, United States

Noble County spans 405 square miles of land with rolling hills, forests, and waterways in the southeastern region of Ohio, bordered by six neighboring counties.

The county, established on March 11, 1851 from parts of Guernsey, Morgan, Monroe, and Washington counties, became the last of Ohio's 88 counties to form.

The rural communities of Noble County maintain agricultural traditions through family farms, local markets, and seasonal harvest celebrations throughout the fifteen townships.

Interstate 77 crosses through Noble County, connecting travelers to Cleveland in the north and providing access to major transportation routes including Interstate 70.

The Thorla-McKee well, discovered in 1814 within Noble County, marks the location of North America's first oil well, preceding Pennsylvania's more widely known discoveries.
