Hudson, Industrial town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States.

Hudson is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, where the Assabet River flows through and creates multiple access points for water recreation. The river connects different parts of town and shapes how residents move through the area.

Once called Feltonville, Hudson became its own town in 1866 and took its name from Congressman Charles Hudson, who funded the public library. This change marked the area's transition into an independent community with a new identity.

The Portuguese community in Hudson keeps its traditions alive through yearly celebrations like the Holy Ghost and Our Lady of Fatima feasts. These events shape community life and draw visitors from across the region.

The town has good river access at several spots, ideal for walks and outdoor time. Plan your visit during warmer months when water activities and local dining spots are most active.

The town was a major shoe manufacturing hub with factories operating until 1968, shaping its economy for generations. Today that industrial past is visible in the buildings that have been converted into restaurants and breweries.
