Brockerhoff Mill

Brockerhoff Mill is a four-story brick building that sits on a limestone foundation near Pennsylvania Route 550 in Centre County. The structure measures about 56 feet by 40 feet and stands on a property with several acres of surrounding land.

Henry Brockerhoff built this grain mill in 1862 to support agricultural development in the region through grain processing operations. The structure reflects the industrial expansion that took place across central Pennsylvania during the 1800s.

The mill represents nineteenth-century industrial architecture and engineering practices, demonstrating the technological capabilities of early American manufacturing methods.

The mill is located southwest of Bellefonte and is easily accessible from a nearby road for visitors to view from outside. The surrounding property offers adequate space for parking and walking around the historic site.

The structure was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, receiving official recognition for its historical significance. This designation highlights its importance to the region's industrial and architectural heritage.
