Frying Pan Farm Park, Working farm and recreational park in Herndon, United States.
Frying Pan Farm Park is a 135-acre property with an active farm and recreation areas centered on the historic Kidwell Farm. The grounds contain buildings from different time periods, several animal species including cows, pigs, goats, sheep, and horses, plus open spaces for exploring.
The site preserves agricultural methods and rural living from the 1920s through the 1950s in Northern Virginia. The surviving buildings and equipment are from this period and show how farms operated back then.
The Kidwell Farm area shows how people once worked with animals and the land, and visitors can watch or handle things during demonstrations. The way buildings are arranged and animals cared for reflects the farming way of life that was common in this region for generations.
The park offers free entry and wheelchair-accessible paths throughout, with ample parking near the entrance. Visitors can roam at their own pace, though some areas become muddy after rain.
A working dairy barn from the 1920s still stands with its original milk processing equipment inside. An antique carousel also sits on the grounds where children can ride.
