Fun Spot Amusement Park & Zoo

Fun Spot was an amusement park with a zoo section located near Fort Wayne that offered rides, arcade games, water slides, shops, and dining areas. The various attractions spread across the grounds gave visitors multiple options for entertainment throughout the day.

The park operated from 1956 to 2008, opening during Indiana's early period of regional amusement developments. Its 50-year run allowed it to establish itself as a longtime destination for multiple generations in the area.

The park served families across northeast Indiana for generations as their go-to destination for weekend outings and school holiday trips. Its blend of rides and animals made it a gathering place where locals created memories together.

The park was accessible from Interstate 69 via Exit 150, followed by a short drive on a county road to reach the entrance. Visitors should know the location is no longer operating and exists today only as a historical site.

The park's Afterburner roller coaster came from a former amusement park in Florida and was an early prototype model with an inversion feature. This ride was Indiana's only looping coaster for many years until newer parks opened.
