Grosse Pointe Yacht Club

Grosse Pointe Yacht Club is a private sailing facility located on Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Shores. The Mediterranean Revival building houses multiple dining areas, a ballroom, lounges, and a deep-water marina with mooring for sailing vessels.

The facility began in 1914 as an ice boat club and transitioned to a year-round sailing organization in 1918. Its current building, completed in 1929, established the architectural landmark that defines the lakefront today.
