Herman Davis State Park
Herman Davis State Park, War memorial state park in Manila, Arkansas.
The one-acre park contains a 25-foot granite obelisk with a statue depicting Private Herman Davis in his World War I infantry uniform.
Private Herman Davis earned multiple military honors and ranked fourth on General Pershing's list of 100 greatest World War I heroes.
The memorial site reflects the dedication of local residents who raised funds to commemorate their native son through this state park.
Visitors can access the memorial grounds at the intersection of Baltimore Avenue and Arkansas Highway 18 in Manila throughout the year.
The granite monument marks the final resting place of Private Davis, with his remains interred directly behind the memorial structure.
