The construction of this six-story structure began in 1895 and concluded in 1896, with architect Cyrus L. W. Eidlitz leading the project at a cost of $584,700.
The building maintains a library containing over 50,000 legal volumes and provides spaces for professional gatherings of the legal community in New York.
Located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, the building offers meeting halls with capacity for 1,500 people and event spaces available for public rental.
The facade combines three classical architectural orders: Doric elements on lower floors, Ionic columns on the fourth floor, and Corinthian pilasters above.
