Knuckleheads Saloon

Knuckleheads Saloon is a music venue in Kansas City featuring four separate performance spaces, including an outdoor stage with converted train cars as seating. The indoor areas are equipped with professional audio equipment, and an additional space called The Garage accommodates roughly 800 to 1000 people.

The building dates to 1887 and originally served as a railroad boarding house near the Electric Park amusement park. It was converted into a music venue in 2001 and has since become an important concert destination.

The venue hosts live performances across multiple music styles including Blues, Americana, Jazz, Roots, Gospel, and Country throughout the week. Visitors experience a space where these different musical traditions coexist and are celebrated together.

The venue operates Wednesday through Sunday with multiple performance areas to suit different concert sizes. Note that the location next to active railroad tracks means train sounds may occasionally interrupt performances.

Train whistles from the nearby railroad tracks occasionally blend with live performances, creating an unexpected acoustic layer. This unusual feature has become part of what makes the place distinctive to visitors.
