Lake Hartwell State Park

Lake Hartwell State Park sits along a large reservoir on the Savannah River, with two boat ramps and a long fishing pier reaching into the water. The grounds include both waterfront areas and wooded sections with trails and camping facilities spread throughout.

The park opened in 1976 to provide public access to the Hartwell Dam reservoir created on the Savannah River. Since then it has become a recreational destination for the surrounding region.
