Laws Hall, Academic building at Miami University, Ohio
Laws Hall is an academic building at Miami University in Oxford that houses classrooms, seminar rooms, and offices across multiple floors. The structure underwent major renovation to create modern learning spaces and accommodate a new library with contemporary furnishings and systems.
The building was completed in 1959 and named after Samuel Spahr Laws, an 1848 graduate who later became vice president of the New York Gold Exchange. From its opening until 2009, it served as the main headquarters for the School of Business Administration.
The second floor of Laws Hall features conference spaces where university officers gather to make decisions affecting the educational direction of the institution.
The building is accessible from campus with multiple ground-level entrances for convenient access. Interior renovations are still in progress, so some areas may be temporarily closed.
Before its current transformation, Laws Hall served as the primary location for the School of Business Administration from 1959 until 2009.
