The oval track spans 1.125 miles and features a fast-rated main surface for year-round horse racing competitions at the intersection of Route 198.
The Maryland Jockey Club acquired the facility in 1947, leading to extensive renovations including a new clubhouse and turf club between 1950 and 1984.
The Maryland Million, established in 1986 at Laurel Park, celebrates the state's breeding industry through competitive races and related festivities.
The racecourse opens daily at 10:00 AM with scheduled events on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September through November 2024.
Legendary horses including Seabiscuit, War Admiral, and Sir Barton have competed at this venue throughout its century-long operation.
