McCook Point Park

McCook Point Park is a beach park situated on an elevated bluff overlooking Niantic Bay from between two sandy beaches. The grounds link different beach areas through pathways and provide various spaces for visitors to spend time.

The park was acquired in 1953 by the Town of East Lyme and transformed from a private summer home into a public recreation area. This conversion opened the shoreline to the community.

The bandshell draws locals and visitors for summer concerts where music echoes across the shore. This gathering place has become a social hub where the community gathers regularly during the warmer months.

The beach is seasonally accessible and best visited on clear days to enjoy full views. Level pathways and seating areas make the park easy to explore and comfortable to visit.
