Miesville Ravine Park Reserve, Nature reserve in Dakota County, Minnesota
The Miesville Ravine Park Reserve spans 1,600 acres of woodland terrain featuring oak, maple, cottonwood, willow, red cedar, and white pine trees.
The park developed around Trout Brook, which has been monitored for decades to assess water quality and maintain the natural habitat for local fish species.
The reserve maintains two separate picnic areas, the Cannon Picnic Shelter and the Trout Brook Picnic Shelter, where visitors gather for outdoor activities.
The park opens daily from 5 AM to 10 PM without entrance fees, with temporary closures during November and December for controlled deer hunts.
The park contains a 4.58-mile-long trout stream that flows through karst landscape with multiple cold water springs before joining the Cannon River.
