Meyerson Hall, School of Design building on 34th Street, Philadelphia, US
Meyerson Hall is a university building in Philadelphia with six floors and a reinforced concrete structure. The exterior features industrial skylights and Mediterranean-style sun shading on its walls.
This building was completed in 1967 by the architectural firm Martin, Stewart, Noble & Class and replaced an older facility. It emerged during a period of campus expansion and modernization.
The building serves as a meeting point for architecture and design students who work on projects and attend classes throughout the day. You can observe collaborative work happening in shared spaces and hallways as groups engage with their studies.
The northeast entrance provides access to all floors through elevators. The basement level contains multiple lecture halls, a materials library, and a cafe for visitors.
The building reflects design principles from the Philadelphia School of architecture, evident in its modern detailing and structure. Its large skylights were influenced by concepts that Le Corbusier explored in his work.
