Motorists Mutual Building, Office skyscraper in Columbus, United States
The Encova Building rises 286 feet high with 21 floors and features a bronze-tinted glass facade in downtown Columbus at East Broad Street.
The structure opened in 1973 as the Motorists Mutual Building after Brubaker/Brandt architects completed the design for the insurance company headquarters.
The building represents the growth of Columbus business district, maintaining corporate offices while residential areas expanded toward suburban neighborhoods.
The structure contains six elevators and incorporates modern safety standards, including early implementation of non-asbestos fireproofing materials throughout the building.
Located two blocks from Topiary Park, the building changed its name to Encova in 2019 when BrickStreet Insurance merged with Motorists Mutual Insurance Group.
