Mount Ouray

Mount Ouray is a summit in the Sawatch Range that rises to roughly 4,260 meters (13,970 feet). The terrain features steep ridges and exposed alpine zones that create a challenging climbing environment.

The mountain was named after Chief Ouray, a Ute leader who worked as a mediator between Native Americans and European settlers. This naming honors a significant historical figure of the region.
